These restrictions represent the TradeMail quota. Members can track their TradeMail quota (messages IN and OUT) each month in TradeStats.
Why I am restricted from sending TradeMail to a company?
Importers.com has TradeMail restrictions to control SPAM and abuse. In addition to montly quotas, members are also restricted from sending TradeMail inquiries to members that are NOT in the same industry. For example, a Transportation company is restricted from sending a message to a Food & Beverage company. In this way, members do not get junk TradeMail that does not relate to their business.
While TradeMail restrictions limit members from contacting other companies, in fact these restrictions help members. Typically, email messages sent from a new, unknown company have a message open rate of less than 2%. But at Importers.com, over 50% of TradeMail messages sent from unknown companies are opened within 30 days. The TradeMail restrictions serve to help Importers.com members send and receive more qualified trade inquiries.
